What is in the 200-hour TEFL course?+

Everything in our 168-hour course plus 32 hours of Business TEFL. That is the 120-hour core with real classroom video, 15+ teaching scenarios and tutor support, 40 hours on young learners, 8 hours on adults and 32 hours on teaching Business English.

How much does it cost?+

$59 as a one-time payment, with 12 months of course access and a QR-verifiable digital certificate included. You can add Practical Assignments ($69 in total) or Practical Demos ($89 in total).

Do I need 200 hours, or is 120 enough?+

For many online and entry-level jobs, 120 hours is enough. Choose 200 hours if you want training for young learners, adults and Business English in one certificate, or if a job you are applying for asks for more hours.

I already have the 120 or 168-hour course. Can I upgrade?+

Yes, without starting again. From 168 hours, add the 32 Business TEFL hours for $10. From 120 hours, add 48 hours for $10, then the 32 Business hours for $10.

How long do I have to finish?+

You have 12 months of access and can study at your own pace. If you need more time, you can extend for $10 per extra 3 months.

Is the course accredited?+

StudyTEFL's core TEFL training is accredited by OTCAC (ref. 20201216A). StudyTEFL is also CPD-verified and a UK-registered learning provider (UKPRN 10089401).

Is this the same as CELTA?+

No. StudyTEFL is not CELTA, Trinity CertTESOL or an Ofqual-regulated Level 5 qualification. If a job asks for one of those, take the qualification it asks for.

Is there a refund period?+

Yes. StudyTEFL has a 14-day money-back guarantee. The refund is scaled down once you have completed the fourth unit quiz, and no refunds are given after 14 days.
