Send us a message within 14 days of buying your course, using the contact page or by emailing admin@studytefl.com from the address you used for your order. Tell us which course you bought and that you would like a refund.

We usually reply within 1 to 24 hours, and slightly longer at weekends and holidays. We check when you bought the course and whether you have completed the fourth unit quiz, because that affects the amount.
We confirm your refund
If your request is approved, we confirm the amount with you and send the refund back to the card or PayPal account you paid with.

Upgrade for the difference
An upgrade never costs more than the price difference between two courses, for example $10 from the 120-hour course to the 168-hour course.

You can extend your access for $10 per extra 3 months on any course. Extensions are non-refundable.

How long do I have to ask for a refund?+
StudyTEFL has a 14-day money-back guarantee. You need to contact us within 14 days of buying your course. No refunds are given after 14 days.
Does starting the course change my refund?+
Yes. The refund is scaled down once you have completed the fourth unit quiz. If you have not reached the fourth unit quiz, you are inside the standard money-back guarantee, provided you contact us within 14 days.
What if it has been more than 14 days?+
We cannot give refunds after 14 days. If you are stuck with the course or the platform, contact us anyway. We usually reply within 1 to 24 hours and are happy to help you get moving again.
How do I request a refund?+
Use the contact page or email admin@studytefl.com from the address you used for your order, and tell us which course you bought. Please contact us within 14 days of purchase.
How will I be refunded?+
If your request is approved, we confirm the amount with you and send the refund back to the card or PayPal account you paid with.
Can I upgrade instead of asking for a refund?+
Yes. If you chose a course that is not quite right, an upgrade never costs more than the difference between the two courses' prices, for example $10 from the 120-hour course to the 168-hour course.
Can I try the course before I buy?+
Yes. StudyTEFL publishes a real free lesson so you can inspect the learning style and depth before enrolling. You can also compare every course side by side.
Does this refund policy cover every StudyTEFL course?+
The 14-day money-back guarantee applies across our courses, including the $39 Complete TEFL, $49 168-hour Specialist TEFL and $59 200-hour Specialist + Business TEFL, and each course bought with Demo Lessons ($69, $79 or $89). Add-ons and upgrades have their own rules, explained below. If you are unsure how it applies to your order, contact us and we will confirm.
Are add-ons, upgrades and extensions refundable?+
No. Because they cost so little compared with card fees, add-ons and upgrades are not covered by the 14-day money-back guarantee. Instead:
- +48 hours ($10): if you have not completed its Unit 1 quiz, ask us for $10 credit towards another StudyTEFL course, valid for 12 months.
- Demo Lessons ($30): if you have not submitted your first lesson plan, ask us for $30 credit towards another StudyTEFL course, valid for 12 months.
- +32 hours, the Practical Assignments add-on and the Online Specialist upgrade ($10 each): refunds are given as course credit only, to use on another StudyTEFL TEFL course of 120 hours or longer.
- +3 months of access ($10): non-refundable.
