If an employer, school or visa process later requires legalisation, a StudyTEFL digital certificate can enter the UK notarisation and apostille process without you first buying a StudyTEFL hardcopy. You can submit the digital file to Apostille.org.uk, where the notary handles the physical paperwork and FCDO apostille process before the finished documents are returned using the delivery option you select.
Apostille, notary and courier charges aren't StudyTEFL course fees. They are separate third-party legalisation and delivery costs, and you'll only need them if your employer or destination requires legalised documents.

Can the digital TEFL certificate be apostilled?+
Yes. Where legalisation is required, the digital certificate file can be submitted to Apostille.org.uk. Their notary prepares the physical paperwork for the UK apostille process. Notary, FCDO apostille and courier charges are separate third-party costs.
Can I teach abroad with this certificate?+
A standard 120-hour TEFL certificate is used for many entry-level teaching roles, but requirements vary by employer and country. Some jobs require a degree, a particular passport, experience, legalised documents, CELTA, Trinity CertTESOL, Level 5 or observed teaching practice. Check the exact job and visa requirements before applying.
